Summer 2027 Internship - Manufacturing Engineering (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States

Salary: $30–$40 per hour, depending on academic standing; monthly housing stipend and overtime eligibility included.

What you will do

• Develop and implement scalable manufacturing processes for reliable and safe systems.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to improve manufacturability, performance, safety, and cost.
• Build, assemble, and validate prototypes, test stands, and development units.
• Troubleshoot shop-floor and test issues, perform root-cause analysis, and develop hardware mitigations.
• Establish manufacturing and quality practices that scale through production phases.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Nuclear, or a related engineering degree.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, CAD models, and basic GD&T concepts.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience through coursework, student teams, internships, research, or personal projects.
• Interest in hands-on manufacturing and hardware development.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
