Senior Accountant (Private Equity/Aviation)

Location: Miami, FL, United States; in-office 4 days per week

Private equity management company specializing in aviation investments and private markets.

What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee accounts payable, expense reimbursements, cash management, treasury support, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany transactions, and management fee accounting.
• Prepare variance analyses, budgets, forecasts, cash flow plans, and ad hoc financial analyses for senior leadership.
• Coordinate tax reporting, financial statement audits, regulatory examinations, external accounting providers, banks, and consultants.
• Support accounting for aviation assets, investment vehicle expense allocations, and operational reporting with investment professionals.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while improving processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and management fee accounting.
• Experience with monthly close, audits, tax compliance, and ERP or accounting systems such as PeopleSoft or OneStream.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience in private equity, asset management, investment management, family office, aviation, or financial services.
• Familiarity with aviation leasing, aircraft ownership structures, or special purpose entities.
