Senior Product Engineer (TypeScript/React)

hirify.global builds a tax and advisory platform used by large CPA and advisory firms.

What you will do

• Own product features end to end, from clarifying requirements and writing acceptance criteria through development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Build across React frontends, TypeScript/Node services, PostgreSQL, and event-driven AWS backends.
• Collaborate in a small pod with an engineering lead, product owner, and other engineers.
• Write unit and Playwright end-to-end tests as part of the definition of done.
• Use AI coding agents, AI code review, and AI-assisted QA throughout the development cycle.
• Operate shipped software by monitoring production, following up on incidents, and implementing fixes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web software, with substantial frontend and backend experience.
• Professional experience with TypeScript/Node and React, or equivalent technologies with evidence of quickly crossing the stack boundary.
• Strong relational database fundamentals with PostgreSQL or an equivalent database, plus AWS or comparable cloud experience.
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests, including Playwright or an equivalent framework.
• A clear track record of delivering production releases and operating the software after launch.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and the ability to demonstrate their impact on development work.

Nice to have

• Experience in tax, accounting, fintech, legal, or another regulated domain.
