Procurement Operations Manager - Columbia, MD

Location: Columbia, Maryland, USA. The position may involve access to ITAR-controlled information or hardware; applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR.

Total compensation: $83,000–$110,000 per year, including base salary, variable pay when applicable, and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee the end-to-end requisition-to-purchase-order process and manage the procurement queue against internal stakeholder SLAs.
• Manage supplier communications, order status, deliveries, escalations, and vendor performance indicators such as on-time delivery.
• Conduct operational reviews with key suppliers and resolve recurring delivery and process bottlenecks.
• Lead vendor onboarding and maintain compliance documentation, including tax forms, insurance, and certifications.
• Maintain procurement master data in the ERP system, including pricing, lead times, and vendor contact information.
• Expedite critical orders, improve procurement workflows, and ensure adherence to governance, ethical, and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in operational procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
• At least 4 years of management experience.
• Advanced SAP experience and strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience purchasing multiple commodities in a fast-paced environment, with strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.

• Experience with supplier management tools such as Jaggaer.
