Computer Vision/AI Engineer

Location: Remote from Russia, with the role based in Saint Petersburg

What you will do

• Build and improve computer vision and machine learning models for AI-powered tennis video analysis.
• Work across the full CV/ML pipeline, including dataset quality, model evaluation, failure-mode diagnosis, and targeted experimentation.
• Develop custom tracking, smoothing, temporal decoding, and model interpretation logic.
• Improve model robustness for diverse real-world video conditions and optimize cloud-based video processing pipelines.
• Deploy and optimize inference on edge and mobile devices using technologies such as ONNX, Core ML, and TensorFlow Lite.
• Independently assess technical problems, recommend experiments, implement improvements, and communicate trade-offs under Head of Engineering or CTO guidance.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional experience.
• Strong practical computer vision experience, especially with real-world video.
• Strong Python and PyTorch experience.
• Experience with object detection, object tracking, classification, or keypoint-based models.
• Experience with dataset strategy, annotation quality, validation design, metric interpretation, and production-level model robustness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; excellent verbal and written English.

Nice to have

• Sports video analytics experience.
• Ball, racket, puck, or other fast-moving object tracking experience.
• Experience working with smartphone-recorded or consumer-quality video.
