Technical Writer II (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Own the documentation strategy, priorities, and quality for a defined LogScale content area.
• Develop and maintain user-centered product documentation covering data ingestion, egress, and deployment automation.
• Translate complex engineering concepts from a distributed, multi-petabyte software platform into clear, actionable content.
• Apply structured authoring and information architecture principles to improve content reuse and consistency across channels.
• Build and improve documentation workflow tools and refine generative AI prompts for content production.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to ensure documentation accurately reflects product behavior and customer impact.

Requirements

• Proven experience writing user-centered product documentation for software products.
• Proficiency with structured authoring technologies, including DocBook, DITA, and XSLT.
• Strong working knowledge of API documentation, particularly GraphQL and REST.
• Experience with Git or Mercurial, including branching, merging, and command-line version control in Bash or Zsh.
• Familiarity with SaaS deployments, especially large-scale or highly automated environments.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity or large-scale data industries.
• Programming knowledge in Java, Scala, JavaScript, Perl, or Python.
• Understanding of databases, distributed systems, SQL, or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and large language models.
• Interest in automation and simplifying the path from engineering output to user-ready documentation.
