Managed Services Presales Architect (STaaS)

Location: Hybrid role based in the United States, with locations in Morrisville, North Carolina; Waltham, Massachusetts; New York, New York; Vienna, Virginia; and San Jose, California.

Salary: $170,000–$253,000 per year, with compensation determined by location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Lead technical activities for Managed Services and Storage-as-a-Service bid pursuits.
• Conduct customer discovery, infrastructure assessments, data analysis, and operational readiness evaluations.
• Design end-to-end architectures covering storage, cloud, monitoring, automation, security, reporting, and operational processes.
• Develop service scopes, pricing models, statements of work, and RFQ/RFP/RFI responses with sales teams.
• Create transition and migration strategies for customers moving from self-managed environments or incumbent providers.
• Guide delivery teams through onboarding and support service optimization and future expansion discussions.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of IT Service Management principles and practical experience with ITIL-based service delivery.
• Deep hirify.global expertise and broad knowledge of enterprise storage, cloud, data center, infrastructure, virtualization, and hybrid-cloud technologies.
• Experience with Managed Services and STaaS solution scoping, service design, quoting, SOW development, customer presentations, and proposal responses.
• Experience developing outcome-based and consumption-based pricing models, including $/TiB models.
• Knowledge of security, access controls, governance, compliance, monitoring, ITSM platforms, automation, integrations, and operational reporting.
• At least 12 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; strong communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• ITIL certification.
• Experience in enterprise Managed Services engagements, solution architecture, consulting, or technical presales.
