Global Power Delivery Equipment Lead (Power Infrastructure)

Location: Remote-friendly, United States; staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Own the global strategy for critical power generation and grid-integration equipment across off-grid and grid-integrated data center sites.
• Negotiate framework and Master Purchase Agreements covering turbines, engines, transformers, switchgear, substations, solar, and battery energy storage systems.
• Secure OEM manufacturing slots, capacity reservations, delivery milestones, warranties, damages, and assignment rights, and allocate equipment across sites and regions.
• Build executive relationships with OEMs, utilities, EPCs, power producers, and development partners across North America, Japan, Asia, and Europe.
• Forecast equipment demand, maintain the procurement pipeline, manage lead-time and supply-chain risks, and execute alternative-source strategies.
• Partner with engineering, energy, construction, legal, finance, and regional energy leads to standardize specifications and enable scalable solar, BESS, gas, and grid-integrated power systems.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in power equipment, grid infrastructure, energy markets, OEM commercial development, utility or power-producer sourcing, renewables or storage development, procurement, or EPC.
• Experience leading a function, team, or portfolio-scale program for forecasting, planning, and procuring power generation or grid-integration equipment.
• Knowledge of turbines, reciprocating engines, fuel cells, transformers, medium- and high-voltage switchgear, protection equipment, solar, BESS, and islanded or grid-connected configurations.
• Direct experience negotiating framework, master supply, or capacity reservation agreements with major power-equipment OEMs, including agreements at $100M+ scale.
• Experience working with major power-equipment OEMs on commercial structures, capacity allocation, or new business models, and presenting strategy and risk to executives or a board.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, construction management, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in data center, utility, or critical-environment power infrastructure.
• Experience sourcing across the US, EMEA, and APAC and working with regional OEM, EPC, and logistics organizations.
• Relationships with major generation, transformer, and switchgear OEMs and knowledge of slot-allocation processes.
• Experience with data center construction programs, interconnection processes, utility or ISO requirements, BESS, hybrid generation, and OEM warranty or repair programs.
