Location: Remote, USA; heavy travel required, with 50β75% travel including domestic and potentially international sites.

designs and manufactures switchboards, transformers, and modular data center power infrastructure for AI and mission-critical data center deployments.
What you will do
- Oversee installation, startup, commissioning, energization, and acceptance testing of oil-filled and dry-type power and distribution transformers.
- Perform TTR, winding resistance, insulation resistance, power factor, SFRA, DGA, oil analysis, and protective relay testing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot OLTC/LTC mechanisms, cooling systems, controls, monitoring equipment, and transformer protection interfaces.
- Execute field troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, repairs, retrofits, warranty investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with customers, EPCs, contractors, project managers, Engineering, and Quality during installations and outages.
- Prepare technical reports, material lists, quotations, scopes of work, service documentation, and continuous-improvement feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military, associate-degree, or practical experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on field experience with power or distribution transformers, switchgear, or related power delivery equipment; strong entry-level candidates may be considered.
- Working knowledge of transformer testing, including TTR, insulation resistance, DGA/oil analysis, and power factor testing.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, winding/vector diagrams, and equipment nameplate data.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50β75%, including domestic and potentially international sites.
- Valid driverβs license, ability to maintain or obtain a passport, and physical ability to work in industrial environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
Nice to have
- Experience with ABB, Siemens, GE, Hitachi Energy, Powell, ERMCO, or equivalent OEM transformer platforms.
- Familiarity with OLTC systems, ONAN/ONAF/OFAF cooling, and transformer bushings.
- NETA certification or progress toward NETA Level II/III certification.
- Protective relay testing, data center, utility, transformer OEM, or independent testing/service organization experience.
