Senior Power Delivery Engineer

Location: On-site in Seattle, Washington, United States; frequent travel to supplier, construction, utility, and international deployment sites is required.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of electrical infrastructure connecting subsea power plants to utility grids.
• Develop transmission architectures, including voltage selection, subsea export systems, and grid interconnection strategies.
• Select, qualify, and manage suppliers for export cables, substations, transformers, switchgear, and related infrastructure.
• Lead technical execution of cable installation, landfall construction, horizontal directional drilling, and onshore electrical works.
• Coordinate utilities, EPC contractors, permitting partners, installation contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Define scalable technical standards and supplier strategies for expansion from demonstration systems to commercial, gigawatt-scale deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering complex electrical infrastructure, energy systems, industrial facilities, offshore projects, or multidisciplinary engineering programs.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and transmission infrastructure.
• Experience owning large technical projects from concept through commissioning.
• Ability to make engineering decisions while coordinating suppliers, contractors, utilities, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Technical fluency across electrical, mechanical, drilling, and systems engineering disciplines.
• Ability to work onsite in Seattle and travel frequently to deployment sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility interconnections, substations, transmission systems, or power delivery infrastructure.
• Experience delivering renewable energy, offshore energy, utility, transmission, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with subsea power systems, submarine cables, offshore construction, horizontal directional drilling, or marine construction.
• Experience working with utilities, EPC contractors, or major infrastructure suppliers.
• Experience leading technically complex projects with significant ambiguity and broad ownership.
