Engineer III, Cloud - CTIO (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based in Redmond, WA, Sunnyvale, CA, Austin, TX, New York City, or Toronto; at least 2 days per week in the office.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year for U.S. candidates; $115,000–$165,000 CAD per year for Canadian-based employment, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and implement significant components of the next-generation cloud architecture.
• Build and operate low-latency, highly scalable, and resilient cloud services.
• Collaborate with senior technologists, desktop agent teams, and AI teams.
• Drive technical decisions across groups and stakeholders.
• Improve hiring, design reviews, postmortems, code reviews, and team technical development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience building and operating high-volume, highly resilient Tier-1 cloud services and systems.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Ability to design elegant solutions to complex problems and work effectively with ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
