National Security Strategist (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

National Security Strategist (Cybersecurity/Policy): Leading national security policy initiatives and advocacy with an accent on networking, AI, and export controls. Focus on driving engagement with federal stakeholders, influencing legislative matters, and supporting strategic growth in the US government sector.

Location: Hybrid, must be based in the US (District of Columbia) with an expectation to work from the office 2 days per week.

Salary: $119,500 - $275,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with the White House, Department of War, intelligence agencies, and Congressional committees.
• Represent company interests in legislative and regulatory matters regarding networking, HPC, and cybersecurity.
• Lead the creation and implementation of policies to support market access and business growth in national security domains.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance and proactively address regulatory risks in the federal sector.
• Support sales teams by providing policy guidance and advocacy for technology solutions.
• Mentor team members and coordinate across business units, legal, and global operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in government relations, public policy, or advocacy within the national security, defense, or intelligence sectors.
• Degree in Law, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or a relevant field.
• Security clearance and credentials are strongly preferred.
• Expertise in interpreting laws and regulations, specifically export controls and cybersecurity.
• Superior knowledge of Congressional legislative processes, federal budget, and appropriations.
• Experience in the technology industry with a focus on IT policy and networking.
