Corporate Banking Director, Portfolio Management (Commercial Banking)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States; office-based

Salary: $93,000–$189,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.
• Monitor an assigned portfolio, identify emerging risks, and manage delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base requirements, and covenant compliance.
• Handle portfolio administration, including product renewals and related credit processes.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, Treasury Management, legal counsel, and other product partners.
• Conduct industry and market research and provide credit guidance to Relationship Management colleagues.
• Train and mentor Analyst, Associate, and Associate Director colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in underwriting or a commercial banking environment.
• Ability to review and negotiate credit documentation with legal counsel.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of commercial credit practices.

Nice to have

• Formal credit training.
• Experience in the syndicated loan market.
• Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
