Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Hybrid - US; local candidate required for onsite or hybrid work as needed

Salary: $40.00–$53.00 per hour

What you will do

• Translate business and functional requirements into test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and load testing for custom applications and COTS products.
• Identify automation candidates and automate integration, UI, and API tests using testing tools and frameworks.
• Analyze test results, document defects, investigate deployment and configuration errors, and track defect lifecycles.
• Validate application deployments across environments and provide advanced Tier III customer support.
• Collaborate with engineers, mentor QA peers, and improve testing, change control, and ITSM practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software QA, manual testing, automated testing, software engineering, or business analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience creating test plans and test cases from business and functional requirements.
• Experience testing both custom in-house applications and commercial off-the-shelf software.
• Experience with defect reporting, defect tracking lifecycles, and software troubleshooting.
• Must be a local US candidate available for onsite or hybrid work as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, relational database querying, and verification using DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Experience with UI and API test automation frameworks.
• Experience in public sector, judicial, or government IT environments.
