Head of People (AI Healthcare)

Location: New York, on-site

Salary: $180K–$230K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build the People function, including onboarding, development, performance reviews, feedback, and rewards.
• Own compensation benchmarking, leveling, workforce planning, and headcount forecasting with leadership.
• Shape the company culture and community as the organization scales beyond 50 employees.
• Run end-to-end hiring for engineering, technical product, and clinical roles.
• Manage external recruiting partners and build active and passive candidate pipelines through referrals, communities, events, and AI sourcing tools.
• Improve ATS processes, recruiting automation, funnel metrics, response-time SLAs, and candidate experience.

Requirements

• Pragmatic, analytical, fast-moving, and able to break down complex problems.
• High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building programs or systems from scratch.
• High energy, persistence, and strong follow-through.
• Development mindset with exposure to recruiting or people development.
• Comfort working as a player-coach and personally executing the work.
