Sr. Electrical Design Engineer (Hybrid – Acton, MA)

Salary: $86,700–$130,050 annual base salary for U.S.-based positions, plus potential incentive compensation

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies.

What you will do

• Design and develop low-power, battery-operated electronics for wearable insulin-delivery medical devices.
• Generate design requirements, build prototypes, implement designs, and conduct design reviews.
• Plan and execute design verification, including test matrices, procedures, methods, and test fixtures.
• Prepare design documentation in accordance with FDA design control guidelines and support design validation, usability, and risk management activities.
• Analyze electrical failures and improve product designs and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, vendors, and external contract design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, low-power embedded systems, microprocessors, power supplies, and PCB layout design rules.
• Experience with computer-aided design tools, laboratory equipment, and electrical measurement instruments.
• Ability to lead technical projects, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• Knowledge of RF design, Bluetooth Low Energy, electrical safety, and EMC standards for medical devices is beneficial.
• Business travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Medical device engineering experience.
• Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with FDA guidelines for medical device design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of RF design and BLE protocols.
