Software Test Engineer II (Medical Devices)

Location: Hybrid work based at the Parkmore Campus in Galway, Ireland

Salary: €49,920–€74,880 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan short-term incentive.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated test tools and frameworks for software verification.
• Build system-level automated testing across applications, mobile software, connectivity, and integrated systems.
• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Execute system integration and risk-based testing for functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Configure and maintain test infrastructure and environments, investigate failures, and resolve defects with engineering teams.
• Generate test evidence and documentation supporting quality and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree at Level 8 in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant software testing or test automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with Appium, Selenium, or comparable test automation frameworks.
• Programming experience in Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience testing Android and iOS mobile applications.
• System-level or integration testing experience across applications, networks, mobile, Bluetooth, or Bluetooth Low Energy software.
• Experience in regulated medical device, healthcare, or other regulated product development.
• Experience with healthcare data, data privacy, analytics, or business intelligence.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
