Senior AI Engineer, Fullstack (Agent Factory)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; at least 50% of each quarter must be spent in the office or with customers, prospects, or partners

Annual base salary: 169,000–253,000 CAD, depending on work location, experience, skills, duties, and business needs. The role may also include a bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Design and implement agentic workflows, including orchestration and routing layers, tool calling, retrieval pipelines, memory, and multi-step reasoning.
• Build and operate end-to-end product features across React frontends, backend microservices, APIs, data models, and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Integrate foundation models into customer-facing HR and Finance workflows and optimize latency, interaction cost, context-window efficiency, determinism, and failure handling.
• Build offline and online evaluation, benchmarking, production observability, and agent-trace monitoring.
• Implement guardrails, permission and data-boundary enforcement, PII handling, auditability, and explainability for sensitive enterprise data.
• Set technical direction, lead high-visibility engineering workstreams, present designs and results, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with significant full-stack ownership.
• 5+ years with backend web frameworks, preferably Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• 2+ years integrating LLMs, foundation models, or modern AI APIs into production user-facing products.
• 1+ years designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures, including multi-agent or tool-calling frameworks, routing layers, or advanced RAG pipelines.
• 4+ years deploying scalable systems on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, with strong experience in React, TypeScript, Python, microservices, REST APIs, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin or Java, PostgreSQL, non-relational stores, Elasticsearch, rich-text editors, document-parsing tools, C4 diagramming, or hirify.global XO lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating ML services or data pipelines into web applications.
