TL;DR
Lead AI Engineer (Brilliant Harvest) (RAG/LLM): Designing and delivering production-ready AI applications for an agriculture and equipment-dealership platform with an accent on RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, document ingestion, and model integration. Focus on building measurable evaluation systems, improving retrieval quality, and deploying scalable AI services with reliable latency, cost, and data-enrichment performance.

What you will do
- Design, develop, document, and maintain prototypes and scalable production systems focused on applied AI/ML, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows.
- Build and improve document ingestion pipelines with data enrichment, accuracy, and compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Evaluate and integrate LLMs, agent frameworks, and supporting tools, contributing to vendor and model selection.
- Lead or participate in design reviews, code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Design, and QA teams to translate requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers as an individual contributor without formal management responsibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering or data science experience, including at least 2 years focused on production AI/ML systems.
- Production experience deploying generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, or document ingestion pipelines.
- Strong Python skills and proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, C#/.NET, or another modern backend language.
- Experience with React, React Native, or modern frontend frameworks and their integration with AI-powered backends.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, API design, cloud infrastructure, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction without formal authority.
Nice to have
- Startup experience and experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, or AI-first development tools such as Claude Code.
- Experience in agriculture, heavy equipment, or dealership domains.
- Experience building LLM evaluations, LLM-as-judge or human-in-the-loop pipelines, and retrieval-quality improvements.
