Application Engineer I/II (Process Control Systems)

Location: Lexington, Massachusetts, or Clayton, North Carolina, United States. Travel up to 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Ensure reliable and consistent 24x7 operation of local manufacturing applications.
• Act as a liaison between production shop-floor stakeholders and corporate functions.
• Identify application requirements, process gaps, and improvement opportunities with stakeholders.
• Coordinate software upgrades, releases, maintenance plans, and application standards.
• Resolve system issues and discrepancies and support projects involving application solutions.
• Support audits and inspections as a subject-matter expert while applying quality, risk-management, and change-management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–8+ years of IT or engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of PAS-X, POInT, PLC, or SCADA applications and technologies is advantageous.
• Experience planning, organizing, executing, following up, and completing projects is advantageous.
• Ability to work in an open office environment with frequent distractions and travel up to 10%.
