Platform Security Engineer, DRTM / Secure Launch

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.

What you will do

• Own adoption and integration of DRTM hardware security features across x86 and ARM infrastructure.
• Implement attestation services and the security and privacy capabilities enabled by DRTM.
• Design bootloader-agnostic mechanisms for initiating and relaunching DRTM sessions.
• Harden DRTM environments, including SMM, UEFI runtime services, and ACPI handling.
• Partner with vendors and OEMs, publish work upstream, and contribute to Linux Secure Launch maintainership.
• Build confidential computing and other platform security features, support custom operating systems and drivers, and debug kernel and system issues on production hardware.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with measured boot, DRTM, SRTM, TPM 1.2/2.0, and hardware roots of trust.
• Strong C and assembly skills with deep Linux kernel, bootloader, UEFI, ACPI, and SMM knowledge.
• Experience landing substantial work upstream in Linux, TianoCore, GRUB, or a comparable community.
• Experience with JTAG, serial debugging, platform bring-up, and silicon errata.
• Technical leadership across teams and with external vendors and OEMs, plus the ability to produce specifications, design documents, and technical writing.
• Working knowledge of NIST firmware security guidance, particularly SP 800-193 and SP 800-147/155.

Nice to have

• 8+ years in systems security, including 5+ years focused on firmware, bootloader, and OS-level security.
• Linux maintainership or subsystem ownership, or participation in the TCG, UEFI Forum, or OCP communities.
• Experience with TDX, SEV-SNP, ARM CCA, Caliptra, OCP S.A.F.E., SPDM, or Rust systems code.
• Firmware vulnerability research, reverse engineering, fuzzing, or AI/ML infrastructure security experience.
