Embedded Software Engineer (Autonomy)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Irving, Texas; Mossville, Illinois; or Clayton, North Carolina, United States. Up to 10% travel is required. Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year.

What you will do

• Define and lead software architecture for remote-control and autonomy systems on embedded platforms.
• Design, develop, review, integrate, and test real-time embedded control software using C/C++ and AUTOSAR.
• Define software requirements and maintain traceability to system and customer needs.
• Guide integration across system, hardware, and platform layers and standardize machine interfaces.
• Drive verification, validation, quality practices, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Mentor developers, support sprint execution, and provide technical leadership across distributed engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong expertise in embedded C/C++ development in RTOS environments and software architecture for embedded or autonomy systems.
• Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR, preferably Classic, including BSW and RTE.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, CAN and Ethernet machine networks, Git, debuggers, and cross-compilers.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, technical troubleshooting, problem solving, and software verification.
