What you will do

• Design and develop autonomous behaviors, algorithms, and embedded software for heterogeneous teams of autonomous vehicles.
• Work across aerial, ground, underwater, and space vehicle domains for defense and commercial systems.
• Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and analyze design trade-offs and system performance.
• Develop and execute software tests to validate real-time algorithms and compliance with requirements.
• Derive task-level and component-level requirements from system requirements.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders and contribute to technical reports, presentations, procedures, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or related tools.
• Knowledge of autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control technologies; real-time software development; and control systems theory.
• Experience designing, developing, and validating real-time algorithms and software, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret Clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
• Knowledge of task and motion planning, robotics platform integration and testing, hybrid AI-based autonomy methods, optimization, and resource allocation.
• Experience with ROS or ROS2.
• Secret Clearance.
