Technology Development Foundry Engineering – Senior Staff Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: United States, with primary placement in Hillsboro, Oregon, and additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona; Folsom and Santa Clara, California; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role uses a hybrid work model, combining on-site work at an assigned hirify.global site with off-site work.

Annual salary: $155,520–$255,200 USD.

What you will do

• Lead Multi-Project Wafer and New Product Introduction execution across front-end processing, far-back-end operations, testing, assembly, and production ramp.
• Act as the primary customer-facing technical interface for wafer status, silicon health, device performance, process changes, and manufacturing readiness.
• Identify and resolve customer-specific product and process integration challenges through cross-functional coordination.
• Develop predictive yield models, analyze parametric and defect-related losses, and project yield for test chips, shuttle vehicles, and production products.
• Investigate yield signals and nonconformances using root-cause analysis, failure inspection, and failure analysis.
• Coordinate technical deliverables, maintain the product Plan of Record, and provide data-driven updates to customers and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering or physical science discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in product/process integration, device engineering, or yield engineering.
• Broad semiconductor technology development expertise and the ability to lead execution in complex technical environments.
• Must be able to work within the United States hybrid work model; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
