Associate Director, U.S. Field Medical Excellence (Medical Affairs): Leading capability development, training delivery, insight generation, and performance enablement programs for U.S. field medical teams with an accent on MSL competencies, scientific engagement, and strategic field execution. Focus on designing certification and readiness programs, developing coaching and competency frameworks, and using metrics and dashboards to improve training effectiveness and field performance.
Location: Remote within the United States
Base compensation: $188,000–$222,000 per year

What you will do
- Support the U.S. Field Medical strategy in alignment with Global Medical Affairs and U.S. Medical Affairs priorities.
- Build capability development programs covering scientific exchange, stakeholder and KOL engagement, insight generation, strategic account planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and deliver onboarding, workshops, simulations, role plays, coaching tools, certification, and readiness programs for U.S. MSLs.
- Train field teams to collect actionable insights, translate field intelligence into recommendations, and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with U.S. Field Medical leadership on coaching, feedback frameworks, performance metrics, and best-practice sharing.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and competency progression through performance trends, surveys, coaching observations, assessments, and dashboards.
Requirements
- Advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, or another relevant scientific or healthcare degree.
- At least 5 years of Medical Affairs experience; MSL or MSL Manager experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing and delivering learning programs.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Medical Affairs and Field Medical operations, including Veeva CRM.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence across a matrixed organization.
