Field Medical Director, South Central (Oncology)

Location: Remote, field-based; must live in the assigned South Central territory and travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time.

Salary: $214,000–$235,000 annually in national markets; $223,000–$245,000 annually in premium markets including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, and Boston.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary clinical and scientific resource for KOLs and health care practitioners in the assigned geography.
• Deliver scientific presentations and respond to unsolicited medical information requests about disease states, products, and pipeline programs.
• Build relationships with KOLs, investigators, professional organizations, advocacy groups, GPOs, and large practice networks.
• Develop and implement the medical territory plan and communicate field insights to Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Operations.
• Support investigator-initiated trials, external collaborations, clinical trial site activities, research proposal follow-up, and evidence generation.
• Lead special projects such as MSL training, mentoring, advisory board materials, medical education, and publication initiatives.

Requirements

• Advanced medical, scientific, or clinical degree such as MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, or PA; a terminal doctoral degree is strongly preferred.
• At least 7 years of relevant therapeutic-area experience in oncology, immunology, or related fields, or at least 5 years of hirify.global on-site clinical trials management experience.
• Clinical trial experience is required; experience in solid tumors is preferred, with GU and lung experience strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as an MSL or in a related field-facing pharmaceutical or biotechnology role is preferred.
• Strong scientific communication, presentation, networking, critical-thinking, planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must maintain a home-based office, personal vehicle, required automobile insurance, and successfully complete motor vehicle record checks.

Nice to have

• Experience with treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA and OIG guidelines, and health economics and outcomes initiatives.
• Experience with oncology solid tumors, particularly genitourinary and lung indications.
