Sr. Zscaler Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully remote within the continental United States. The position is listed in Overland Park, Kansas.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Zscaler security systems across internal and client environments.
• Develop and mature Zscaler cloud infrastructure, including ZIA, ZDX, and ZPA.
• Implement web filtering, CASB, firewall, browser isolation, sandboxing, and data loss prevention controls.
• Migrate policies from legacy proxy environments to cloud-based services and troubleshoot complex network, application, endpoint, and security issues.
• Conduct security audits, maintain documentation, and recommend product upgrades and enhancements.
• Support emergency security incident response, post-mortem analysis, and training for IT teams and end users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, information security, engineering, or a related field, or at least 6 years of related experience and training.
• 4–7 years of managed security services or information security experience, including enterprise security administration, configuration, and management.
• 2–4+ years of experience managing, administering, and deploying Zscaler.
• 2–4+ years of networking and network security experience, including firewalls, DLP, CASB, and proxies.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, Zero Trust architecture, cloud infrastructure, TCP/IP, device and traffic logs, and security policies.
• Ability to work remotely from within the continental United States while maintaining communication and collaboration.

• Security+, CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GPEN, CEH, or other industry certifications.
