Equipment Estimator (HVAC)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, with onsite work Monday through Thursday and a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $56,300.00–$101,394.99 USD

What you will do

• Review plans and specifications and develop accurate cost estimates for HVAC equipment, materials, subcontractors, labor, and construction-related activities.
• Select, price, and integrate equipment, controls, and services for each project.
• Determine project needs, constraints, responsibilities, and HVAC system design and installation requirements.
• Develop facility-related solutions and discuss options with account managers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Prepare and review preliminary and final proposals, equipment submittals, and equipment selections.
• Support proposal pricing, selling strategy, and project fulfillment scheduling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management preferred, plus 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC, or construction management; equivalent experience is considered.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HVAC systems and/or temperature controls.
• Relevant practical experience in place of a four-year degree.
