Manufacturing Engineer - Program Manager

Location: Onsite in Rochester, New York, United States; full-time onsite presence is required. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

Base compensation: $105,600–$140,700 annually, plus potential incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead ongoing and launching products and programs as an individual contributor through influence.
• Organize and track product changes throughout the product lifecycle and deliver launch milestones according to program timing.
• Drive launch and program-level quality while coordinating activities under APQP, MQRR, and GM-specific launch processes.
• Own the product change review board and corresponding change leader responsibilities using GMCH Teamcenter.
• Ensure current and launching products comply with the GM Global Manufacturing System.
• Support manufacturing process development, troubleshooting, documentation, continuous improvement, and collaboration on product manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with machining and assembly processes.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting ability.
• Must work onsite in Rochester, New York, on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Experience leading capital equipment build projects with OEM partners while meeting schedule and budget targets.
• Experience interpreting and using blueprints and machine schematics.
• Ability to evaluate diverse issues, develop innovative solutions, and propose alternative approaches.
