Subject Lead History and Politics (Education)

Location: Hybrid in Manchester, Milton Keynes, London or Guildford, with at least one day per week in the office, regular customer visits, national travel and occasional overnight stays.

Salary: £47,900–£53,400 in Manchester; £49,900–£57,300 in Milton Keynes or Guildford.

What you will do

• Lead the History and Politics subject area and set measurable annual plans aligned with hirify.global strategy and assessment reform priorities.
• Lead and develop a small team of subject specialists, managing performance, capability building and resource deployment where applicable.
• Design customer engagement strategies using insight, data, reports and dashboards to improve retention, growth and customer satisfaction.
• Build long-term relationships with schools, teachers, subject associations, learned societies and other stakeholders.
• Represent hirify.global at conferences, customer events and stakeholder events, supporting product growth and brand advocacy.
• Lead relevant projects and workstreams while managing risks, dependencies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Recent experience leading a department delivering one or more History and Politics specifications.
• Deep knowledge of History and Politics specifications, assessment practice, NEA and current pedagogy.
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and building team capability.
• Former teaching experience or strong credibility with teachers.
• Excellent communication, presentation and training skills, with confidence influencing diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret data, define success measures, monitor delivery and make decisions at pace.
