What you will do

• Develop preliminary scopes of work and conduct pre-engineering job-walk meetings with construction, maintenance, operations, IT, telecommunications, field engineering, and testing stakeholders.
• Create, approve, and publish meeting minutes, design specifications, and related engineering documentation.
• Order major equipment in time to meet project material requirements.
• Manage in-house design projects by providing technical engineering and design support, training, and direction to the design team.
• Manage prime engineering contractors to maintain design quality, delivery milestones, and project costs.
• Provide technical support to field personnel and internal and external project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience with substation engineering, design support, and project delivery.
• Ability to review and approve engineering contractor designs and cost proposals.
• Ability to review purchase order requests, change orders, and service sheets through Ariba.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and support to engineers, field personnel, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor and train new engineers.
