What you will do

• Create and modify detailed designs for substation control buildings, busbars, strain bus, and support structures.
• Develop assembly drawings, cable layouts, connectors, and lightning protection systems.
• Perform technical calculations for grounding, lighting, cable ampacity, and sizing for trays, trenches, and conduits.
• Assist project managers in developing scope of work and conceptual designs for projects.
• Coordinate project activities with clients and internal team members to ensure accuracy and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in Substation Physical design.
• Willingness to pursue PE license in NY and NC.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards.
• Ability to perform periodic travel to project sites.
