Principal AI Engineer (Microsoft Azure AI Foundry): Architecting and delivering an enterprise-grade Azure AI Foundry platform with an accent on governance, security, scalability, MLOps, and cost management. Focus on designing secure AI architectures, automating deployment and evaluation pipelines, and building resilient production environments for AI agents and agentic workflows.

What you will do
- Architect and deliver scalable, resilient Microsoft Azure AI Foundry environments based on enterprise cloud architecture and Azure Landing Zone principles.
- Integrate Azure AI Foundry with Azure OpenAI Service, model catalogues, prompt flows, AI Search, vector databases, and custom AI tooling.
- Define platform standards for environments, deployment patterns, observability, operations, governance, and responsible AI.
- Design secure AI workloads using Private Endpoints, VNets, Managed Identities, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, and zero-trust principles.
- Establish high-availability, capacity-planning, performance, disaster-recovery, and cost-management strategies for production AI workloads.
- Build CI/CD and infrastructure automation with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud architecture, engineering, or platform engineering.
- 1–2+ years of experience in enterprise AI/ML platform engineering.
- Experience with large-scale or enterprise Azure environments and with translating business and technical requirements into enterprise architecture.
- Experience operating at Principal, Lead, Staff, or equivalent senior technical level.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security, cloud governance, AI platform scalability, reliability, and cost optimisation.
- Ability to collaborate with AI Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Security, DevOps, Architecture, and finance stakeholders.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102).
