KYC Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Riga, Latvia

Salary: €18,400–€27,600 gross annual base salary; typical offers are between €18,400 and €23,000 until performance can be assessed.

What you will do

• Onboard and verify new customers and conduct Customer Due Diligence reviews for existing merchants.
• Review adverse media, PEP, and sanctions screening escalations and provide risk assessments and recommendations.
• Handle internal escalations involving potential fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and complex cases.
• Support merchants throughout onboarding and verification.
• Collaborate with AML Financial Crime, Customer Success, and other teams to improve the customer onboarding experience.
• Upskill colleagues, share knowledge, and propose process improvements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in KYC or AML.
• Verbal fluency in English and clear written communication for customer support by email and phone.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work with internal stakeholders at all levels while maintaining product and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zendesk, Looker, or LexisNexis.
