TL;DR
Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Oil & Gas): Leading electrical design for substations, transmission and distribution systems across oil and gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, offshore, and infrastructure projects with an accent on power systems studies, equipment specifications, and design integrity. Focus on leading teams of 10–20 engineers and designers, performing ETAP and power systems analyses, and delivering conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering work on schedule and within budget.

Location: Corniche, Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia

What you will do

  • Lead a team of 10–20 electrical engineers and designers.
  • Develop discipline work plans and prepare work-hour estimates.
  • Perform and check electrical systems studies, including ETAP studies.
  • Develop electrical equipment sizes and specifications.
  • Perform and check power systems analyses.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams and clients, maintain electrical design integrity, and support on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
  • Extensive experience designing substations, transmission systems, and distribution systems.
  • Experience with conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering for medium- to large-scale projects.
  • Expert knowledge of design and construction practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of IEEE, NFPA, API, IEC, and ANSI/NEMA codes and industry standards, as well as electrical power systems, protection philosophy, and protection device coordination.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and procedures.
