Regulatory Compliance Exam Specialist (Auto Finance)

Location: On-site at the Corporate Office in Agoura Hills, California, USA

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Serve as a point of contact for state and federal regulatory examinations and respond to requests for information.
• Coordinate examinations involving agencies such as the CFPB, DOJ, FTC, SEC, NY DFS, DBO, and TX OCCC.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve exceptions identified in regulatory examination reports.
• Schedule follow-up internal audits to monitor the effectiveness of remediation efforts.
• Prepare written responses, internal reports, incident summaries, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
• Partner with compliance leadership, legal counsel, and business units to maintain monitoring policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of multi-state regulatory requirements for auto finance.
• Basic knowledge of consumer financial protection laws.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with regulators and upper management.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.
• At least three years of previous auto finance industry experience is preferred; familiarity with consumer servicing systems and Microsoft Office is also preferred.
