Senior Backend .NET Software Engineer (iGaming)

Location: Hybrid work in Malaga, Spain; up to 10 days per year may be worked remotely from abroad.

What you will do

• Design and develop distributed backend services using C#, .NET, and event-driven architecture.
• Build scalable loyalty, rewards, tournament, and personalized campaign solutions with product and commercial teams.
• Optimize microservices for performance, reliability, and observability.
• Drive containerization and cloud migration using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Participate in architecture discussions, lead senior-level technical decisions, and identify improvements.
• Write tested, maintainable code, conduct reviews, resolve incidents, support on-call rotations, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience with C# and modern .NET versions after .NET Core.
• Experience with backend services, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Couchbase, including indexing and query optimization.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Web APIs, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong collaboration skills, an Agile and Lean mindset, and willingness to participate in on-call support.

Nice to have

• Experience with Orleans, actor-based systems, domain-driven design, or event sourcing.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk, or comparable observability tools.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, trunk-based development, and progressive delivery.
• Experience designing distributed systems at planet scale.
