Staff Software Engineer (Backend)

What you will do

• Design, build, and deliver data-focused products and client-facing applications.
• Develop backend infrastructure and services using cloud platforms, containers, databases, and service-oriented technologies.
• Participate in design reviews, proof-of-concept development, and solution design aligned with the technical roadmap.
• Work on large-scale distributed systems, petabyte-scale data challenges, machine learning pipelines, advanced visualizations, and interactive interfaces.
• Solve algorithmic, optimization, reliability, and scalability challenges for systems serving global traffic continuously.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, raising engineering standards, and potentially managing small teams.

Requirements

• Commercial software development experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, or C++.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Aliyun.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies, Scrum tools such as Jira, and distributed source control such as Git.
• Experience designing web-based, service-oriented applications and integrated back-office systems.
• Experience building always-on systems and web services across multiple technologies and service layers.
• Strong technical leadership, product focus, independent decision-making, and a sustained record of impactful end-to-end contributions to large software projects.
