Principal Fullstack Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Boston or US Remote

Base salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain customer-facing product functionality across the full stack.
• Develop systems that surface relevant threat intelligence for each customer environment.
• Build customer-facing query builders for composite behavioral detections.
• Propose architectural improvements that support speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Set engineering standards for AI tooling, public APIs, and testing.
• Co-own the technical roadmap and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Rust, plus strong TypeScript experience.
• Experience with AWS or GCP and microservices.
• Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into technical solutions and ship quickly.
• Strong opinions about frontend design systems and effective user interfaces.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular or cybersecurity.
• Startup experience.
• Experience building agentic systems.
• Experience with DevOps or infrastructure.
