Information Security Engineer I (AI)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; on-site five days per week

What you will do

• Build and scale internal security systems for monitoring and defending against modern attacker techniques.
• Analyze and investigate security data from security products, logging devices, and endpoint monitors.
• Design and implement detection technologies across hirify.global systems to identify anomalies and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct infrastructure asset risk analysis and provide remediation or mitigation recommendations.
• Execute security engineering projects that improve intrusion detection, scanning, testing, and response capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in cybersecurity engineering or threat analysis.
• Hands-on programming or scripting experience with Java, Python, or C/C++.
• Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and DHCP.
• Ability to work on-site in McLean, Virginia five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix administration and security best practices.
• Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and modern network security architectures.
• Experience with Salesforce or ServiceNow.
