Security Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is building an autonomous AI Production Engineer that investigates and fixes complex production system issues end-to-end.

What you will do

• Own security across the platform, including applications, cloud infrastructure, internal services, integrations, and agent execution.
• Design security mechanisms and boundaries that enable autonomous agents to act safely and audibly.
• Partner with platform, infrastructure, and product engineers to create secure system designs early.
• Build security into software delivery through CI/CD automation, infrastructure guardrails, and secure defaults.
• Evaluate identity, permissions, and access across customers, tools, and environments.
• Address emerging risks in AI-driven systems and support enterprise security conversations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
• Experience securing production web applications, cloud infrastructure, and internal services.
• Hands-on production engineering and automation experience; Python is required.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM, networking, and infrastructure as code.
• Practical experience with threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Ability to communicate risk clearly and make pragmatic security tradeoffs in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AI or ML-driven systems, including LLM and agentic workflow risks.
• Background building or integrating security tooling at scale.
• Experience with regulated environments or enterprise security reviews.
• Experience applying privacy-first principles such as data minimization, isolation, and anonymization.
