Security Engineer II (AI)

Location: Full-time onsite role; candidates must reside near Miami, Austin, Pecos, Denton, Muskogee, Grand Forks, Calvert City, Marble, Dalton, or Auburn in the United States

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, cloud infrastructure, corporate networks, and internal engineering systems.
• Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams on threat modeling, architecture reviews, security assessments, and risk mitigation.
• Build security tooling, automation, guardrails, and developer self-service capabilities for vulnerability detection and remediation.
• Develop and operate SASE, Zero Trust, VPN, IAM, secrets management, CI/CD security, workload protection, logging, and secure configuration controls.
• Assess AI-enabled applications, agents, models, APIs, and third-party platforms for prompt injection, data leakage, insecure tool use, and unauthorized actions.
• Investigate incidents and anomalous activity, support incident response and root-cause analysis, and implement lasting security improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred; 5+ years of information security experience may substitute for a degree.
• Strong software engineering and programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, Java, C, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with cloud, application, system, and network security, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, IAM, segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and secure development.
• Deep expertise in at least two areas including application security, system security, network security, authentication and authorization, or cryptography.
• Experience with complex multi-tenant environments, threat assessments, security automation, incident response, and long-term remediation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, autonomy, and the ability to influence engineering and executive stakeholders.
