Forward Deployed Security Engineer (AI Security)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco and may need to travel to customer sites.

What you will do

• Deploy and operationalize security AI agents in enterprise customer production environments.
• Work directly with security teams to understand challenges and provide technical guidance.
• Build custom integrations, data pipelines, and workflows connecting the platform with existing security tools.
• Identify patterns across customer deployments and collaborate with product teams to turn custom solutions into platform capabilities.
• Communicate with stakeholders ranging from security engineers to CISOs.
• Own technical delivery from scoping through implementation and optimization, including customer-site travel as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience or relevant expertise.
• Experience in application security, penetration testing, security research, vulnerability management, or security-focused engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and experience building integrations, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience connecting customer needs with product capabilities and collaborating with product teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong interest in customer-facing technical work.
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, or AI platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise security infrastructure such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Previous experience as a solutions engineer or forward deployed engineer.
• Open-source contributions or experience with large codebases.
