Lead Civil Engineer (Hungarian Speaking)

Location: Hardturmstrasse 127, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland. Full-time role with up to 10% travel for project coordination and execution.

What you will do

• Lead the civil engineering scope for waste-to-X projects within civil consortia or EPC civil works packages.
• Coordinate civil design interfaces with consortium partners, subcontractors, internal engineering teams, clients, and authorities.
• Manage civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, and infrastructure design activities during procurement and execution.
• Coordinate civil disciplines and project stakeholders throughout design and construction.
• Prepare civil procurement packages, including technical and commercial contract requirements, and support contractor negotiations.
• Report project progress and support responses to technical queries and claim management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer in EPC, construction, or large industrial projects.
• Experience delivering projects in Hungary and/or the Central and Eastern European region, including knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of international civil engineering design and construction codes and standards.
• Experience with structural design software and 3D BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Fluent Hungarian and English, both written and spoken, are required. Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and project management skills are also required.
