Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid, with the primary workplace at the office in Danderyd, Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do

• Build, operate, and maintain large-scale Kubernetes environments running primarily on self-managed, on-premises infrastructure.
• Develop backend services, automation, and operational tooling in Python and Bash.
• Design infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, and scalable containerized platforms.
• Drive architectural, operational, and infrastructure decisions within the Software Operations team.
• Collaborate with software development, infrastructure, and operations teams to remove operational bottlenecks and improve productivity.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing, operating, and maintaining large-scale Kubernetes platforms in self-managed or on-premises environments.
• Several years of experience developing for Linux environments and working closely with operational infrastructure.
• Strong backend programming skills in Python.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, containerized environments, and platform scalability across development and operations.
• Ability to understand large distributed systems and integrations across infrastructure and software layers.
• Strong communication, knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and team-support abilities.
