Senior DevOps Engineer (Data)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark — onsite, with four days in the office

What you will do

• Build and maintain data-specific Kubernetes capabilities for Flink, Kafka, and distributed database workloads, including operators, lifecycle management, storage integrations, and workload isolation.
• Create standardized CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and deployment automation for data infrastructure.
• Own observability and reliability for the data platform through metrics, tracing, dashboards, SLOs, and automated health checks.
• Reduce manual operations with infrastructure automation, data-specific Infrastructure as Code, and internal tooling.
• Partner with data platform engineers and the wider platform organization to support data-intensive, stateful workloads.

Requirements

• Production experience running Kubernetes, particularly for stateful or distributed systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps.
• Strong understanding of observability and production reliability.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and internal tooling or automation.
• Experience operating stateful or data-intensive distributed systems, such as streaming engines, distributed databases, or large-scale data processing frameworks.
• Genuine interest in data infrastructure and the operational challenges of running data systems at scale.
