Professional Services Engineer (NetApp Storage)

Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid work with in-office and/or in-person expectations.

What you will do

• Provide Level 3 support for Platform and Managed Services customers in a global 24x7 Storage Operations team.
• Respond to incidents and service requests and manage problems, changes, and configurations.
• Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot hirify.global storage environments.
• Perform ONTAP, firmware, operating system, and cluster upgrades.
• Deliver infrastructure improvements, storage backup, disaster-recovery testing, and performance tuning.
• Act as a lead escalation resource for delivery teams and provide customer training through demonstrations and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6+ years with a master’s degree, or equivalent professional education and experience.
• Experience with hirify.global CDOT and 7-Mode, ONTAP, Cluster Switches, SAN Fabric switches, and hirify.global management tools.
• Strong knowledge of CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SnapMirror, snapshots, replication, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid storage solutions, cloud infrastructure, object storage APIs such as S3, and disaster recovery.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, managed services, cloud technologies, and stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift, OpenStack, LogicMonitor, WANs, SANs, and DR technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux administration, virtualization, networking, VMware vSphere, Commvault, FlexPod, Cisco UCS, or IBM BladeCenter.
• Knowledge of GCP, Azure, AWS, and associate- or professional-level cloud certifications.
• Basic understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies and AI-assisted operational tools.
