Network Dev Engineer II, ONE Access Engineering (LAN)

What you will do

• Design and implement next-generation LAN architecture for large-scale operational sites.
• Develop reliable enterprise switching, routing, segmentation, and campus network solutions.
• Build self-healing automation for incident detection, remediation, diagnostics, and proactive fault management.
• Modernize vendor-locked network designs with commodity hardware, open protocols, and Software Defined Infrastructure.
• Automate configuration and orchestration across hundreds of thousands of network devices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on project plans and design reviews, resolve root causes of high-impact network events, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or relevant technical internship experience.
• At least three years of experience with BGP and OSPF at CCNP/CCIE-equivalent level.
• At least three years of experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching hardware.
• Network automation experience using Python or other programming languages.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating secure, stable, testable, and maintainable network solutions.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Nice to have

• CCIE Routing & Switching or equivalent certification.
• Experience with EVPN, VXLAN, LISP, Layer 3 fabrics, VRF design, zone-based security, and firewall integration.
• Experience with Software Defined Infrastructure, open network operating systems, CI/CD pipelines, and zero-touch provisioning.
• Experience applying AI and ML-powered tools, including agentic AWS AI tools, to network operations.
• Experience with industrial networking, IPv6, firmware lifecycle management, high availability, and non-disruptive upgrades.
