Senior HR Specialist

Location: Jayuya, Puerto Rico

What you will do

• Lead employee relations investigations and recommend resolutions, corrective actions, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Partner with managers on attendance, performance, disciplinary, separation, and workforce-related matters.
• Analyze turnover, absenteeism, retention, employee relations, and engagement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and monitor workforce action plans with business leaders and lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate performance management, talent review, succession planning, job evaluation, compensation, promotion, and workforce planning activities.
• Manage assigned HR budgets, support departmental administration, and ensure consistent application of policies and employment practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, labor relations, performance management, HR analytics, and HR program implementation.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, interpreting employment laws, managing employee relations matters, and advising managers.
• Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to analyze workforce data, identify root causes, develop practical recommendations, and manage multiple confidential priorities.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related discipline.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
