Pharmaceutical Case Manager (Phoenix)

Location: Fully remote, performed from the Phoenix, AZ area; occasional domestic travel of up to 25% is required.

Salary: $39.00–$50.00 hourly

What you will do

• Manage the patient journey from prescription receipt through ongoing treatment support.
• Coordinate with field access managers, educators, field sales, specialty pharmacies, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Verify insurance coverage and prior authorization status, and resolve barriers to specialty drug access.
• Coordinate therapy initiation and answer patient questions in accordance with prescribing information.
• Provide ongoing education, monitor patient progress, and support adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques to tailor communication and engagement to patient needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of case management experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinics, hospitals, or insurance companies.
• Working knowledge of health insurance, Medicare Part D, prior authorization, and prescription reimbursement for specialty drugs.
• Understanding of HIPAA and privacy requirements, with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Experience reporting adverse events and product quality complaints.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, adaptability, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.

Nice to have

• One year of pharmaceutical or biotechnology case management experience.
